Block Calculator – AAC, Concrete & Hollow Blocks

Quality Inspector
Kaka

Calculate how many blocks and joining material (mortar/adhesive) are needed for a wall. Supports AAC and Concrete blocks.

📐 Formula & Method

Blocks = Wall Area / (Block Length * Block Height). For AAC, adhesive is approx 1.2kg per sqft of 4" wall. For Concrete, mortar is approx 10mm thick around blocks.

Blocks = (L × H) / (l × h)

📋 Worked Example

10m × 3m wall using 600x200 blocks:
• Area = 30 m²
• Blocks = 30 / 0.12 ≈ 250 nos

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

AAC blocks are lighter and use adhesive (3-5mm joints), while concrete blocks are heavier and usually use cement-sand mortar (10-12mm joints).
