Concrete Calculators
Footing Concrete Calculator – Foundation Estimator
Quality Inspector

Calculate the concrete materials required for your structural footings. Supports standard rectangular and square isolated footings.
📐 Formula & Method
The volume for rectangular pad footings is calculated simply as Length × Width × Depth. The total is obtained by multiplying by the quantity. Trapezoidal footings require a different formula structure not covered here.
Wet Volume = (Length × Width × Depth) × Quantity
Dry Volume = Wet Volume × 1.54
📋 Worked Example
For one 1.2m × 1.2m footing at 0.3m depth (M20 grade): • Wet Volume = 1.2 × 1.2 × 0.3 = 0.432 m³ • Dry Volume = 0.432 × 1.54 = 0.665 m³ • Cement = (0.665 / 5.5) / 0.0347 ≈ 3.5 bags
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
This calculator is designed for straight pad footings. For trapezoidal footings, you need to calculate the volume of the lower rectangular portion and the upper truncated pyramid separately.
PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) is typically poured below the footing at 100mm to 150mm thickness as a leveling course. You can calculate it separately by ignoring the mix ratio and simply using the length and width of the excavation.
