Sand Quantity Calculator – Estimate Fine Aggregate

Quality Inspector
Kaka

Estimate the quantity of sand (fine aggregate) needed for a given volume of concrete and mix ratio.

📐 Formula & Method

Sand volume = (Sand Part / Sum of Parts) × Dry Volume. Weight is estimated using an average density of 1600 kg/m³.

Sand (m³) = (Sand Ratio / Total Ratio) × Volume × 1.54

📋 Worked Example

For 2m³ of M20 (Sum=5.5, Sand=1.5):
• Sand = (1.5/5.5) × 2 × 1.54 = 0.84 m³

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
