📐 Formula & Method

Aggregate volume = (Aggregate Part / Sum of Parts) × Dry Volume. Weight is estimated using an average density of 1500 kg/m³.

Aggregate (m³) = (Agg Ratio / Total Ratio) × Volume × 1.54

For 2m³ of M20 (Sum=5.5, Agg=3):
• Agg = (3/5.5) × 2 × 1.54 = 1.68 m³

What size aggregate is used for RCC?

For standard RCC slabs and beams, 20mm graded aggregate is most commonly used.

Is crushed stone heavier than gravel?

Generally, yes. Crushed stone has a higher density (approx 1500-1600 kg/m³) compared to river gravel.
